Topic: Women's Heart Health
Expert: Cynthia Ennis, DO, is the director of the Women’s Heart Health Program, a multidisciplinary clinic that is focused on providing unique cardiology care for the women of central Massachusetts. She is also a cardiologist and electrophysiologist at UMass Memorial Medical Center, and assistant professor of medicine at UMass Medical School.
Dr. Ennis provides general cardiology care and specializes in arrhythmia management in adults. In addition to her clinic, she also performs procedures including implantation of pacemakers and defibrillators, and performs ablations for complex arrhythmias. Her research interests include the role of electromagnetic interference with defibrillators and she has presented this data at several national meetings including American Heart Association and Heart Rhythm Society.
