The UMass Memorial Weight Center in Worcester provides a patient-focused program designed to help adults struggling with obesity and weight-related diseases. Physicians and specialists in nutrition, behavioral medicine and exercise deliver respectful, confidential services. The center welcomes inquiries from people interested in confronting health issues relative to excessive weight.
We provide the most advanced strategies for significant weight loss. Programs are designed to help patients achieve healthy, long-lasting weight loss. All patients are evaluated by a behavioral medicine provider and medical director. Based on these evaluations, and through input from a registered dietician, a weight loss plan is created for each patient. Patients can choose from the nonsurgical or surgical weight loss tracks.
